Episode 2: - 1980
After 6 years of brutal murders the West Yorkshire Police fear that they may have already interviewed The Ripper and let him back into the world to continue his reign of terror upon the citizens of Yorkshire, but things become more difficult for the Police when they discover they not only have The Ripper to catch, but a copycat killer is also at large. Assistant Chief Constable of the Manchester Police, Peter Hunter, is called in to oversee the West Yorkshire Police's Ripper investigation, with the help of John Nolan and Helen Marshall, both detectives from the Manchester Police, they decide to go back and look at the crime reports from the Rippers victims to see what they could have missed.

Episode 3: - 1983
Maurice Jobson holds a press conference about a recent 10 year old missing school girl, Hazel Atkins, who disappeared on her way home from school; the case is being linked to the disappearance and murder of Clare Kemplay in 1974. They employ the help of a local medium named Mandy Wymer who foresees that Hazel's disappearance is indeed linked with the case of Clare Kemplay. Fearing Hazel is dead they bring in Leonard Cole, who found the body of Clare in 1974 and brutally torture him to make him tell the truth. Meanwhile Solicitor John Piggott pays a visit to Michael Myshkin, who was arrested for the murder of Clare 8 years ago, but in his mental state he keeps repeating the phrase "It was the Wolf".
