Silent Witness - Series Twelve



Silent Witness is a forensics crime drama that focuses on a pathologist who attempts to identify murder victims and figure out what caused them to die. Each case is usually divided up into two episodes, which are typically aired at the same time as one another.

Episode 1: - Safe (1)
Leo is stopped for drink driving and finds himself doing community service in a rough part of South London, answering to AJ, a tough talking Community Worker who's not happy to be saddled with a 'drunk whitey'. Leo tries to keep his head down, do his hours and get out,but when one of the lads is stabbed near their playing fields, Leo steps in and saves the boy's life, winning him new respect from AJ and the kids.Meanwhile,Nikki investigates the death of a young girl from the same area who,it seems,was also murdered. A disturbing picture of kids and gang violence emerges, with the kids that Leo is working with right at the heart of it.

Episode 2: - Safe (Safe. Part 2)
The frustration among the team builds as Harry and Nikki struggle to find any useful evidence from the post mortems to help the police. No one will talk, and they have no leads.Meanwhile, Leo worries for Levi, who is sucked further into a world of gangs and violence.

Meanwhile, Harry is acting as mentor to Holly, a young medical student, who soon stumbles upon a link to a dangerous Russian criminal.

Episode 9:- The Lost Child (1)
When one boy is found dead, and another is abducted, the team must work against the clock to find the missing boy.
When the half naked body of a 12 year-old is discovered, floating in a drainage ditch near his school, the team is called in. The case brings Nikki back in contact with one of her former teachers, Noel Hopkins, now Head. During Harry's preliminary examination they find clear signs of abuse. And when the police discover the victim was last seen with another boy, Liam, who is now missing, they fear he may have been abducted. The team is put under increasing pressure from the police. Liam is still out there, the hope is that he is still alive, and the team must find clues from the dead boy's body in order to save the living.

Episode 10:- The Lost Child (2)
The search for Liam resumes. Nikki's loyalty towards her former mentor, Noel Hopkins, is severely tested when past allegations of sexual misconduct from a former student surface. Leo and Harry refuse to give up their search for Liam, as they try to identify and locate a toxic chemical, which was found in both bodies.If they can find the source of the chemical,they may find where Liam is being held.

Episode 11:- Finding Rachel (1)
Rachel Harrington's bones are found in Zambia, and her father asks the team to investigate her death as he doesn't believe the local police's claim that she was killed by wild animals. Rachel had been accusing the government of a cover-up over health issues. The initial examination shows evidence of multiple stab wounds, and so the explanation seems obvious - but as they investigate further, they discover the government weren't the only ones that Rachel threatened.
